On Thursday last there was a dinner at Tiptown settlement to raise funds to 
furnish St. Patrick’s Church which has within the last year been constructed 
in the settlement.  Reverand John Mohr, pastor.  After dinner, Mr. James A. 
Kennedy of this place introduced and gave a talk on the English language, the 
Irish nation, and its connection with this country.  Raffle:
