The Waterloo Times Friday, October 29, 1915 WARTBURG Albert Steinsick was a caller here Saturday evening. Mr. and Mrs. John Buettner spent Sunday in this vicinity. Peter Keating of Bushy Prairie visited friends in our burg Sunday. John Wright and John Henke spent Wednesday evening in our burg. William Boedecker spent Sunday evening with Hy. T. Buettner and family. Mr. and Mrs. Paul Funk of Waterloo were in this locality Sunday afternoon. Erwin Hoffmann, our Wartburg sport, visited Foster Pond friends Sunday. John Buettner and wife were the guests of Hy. T. Buettner and family Sunday evening. Mr. and Mrs. Hy. Boedecker of Waterloo spent Sunday in Wartburg and attended church here. George Bueschel of Waterloo has resumed his old position at Miss Corilane Doerr’s this week. The little baby boy of Mr. and Mrs. Fred Schmeding was christened Sunday and named Alfred. R. Buettner, John Wright and John Henke made a fishing trip to the bottom Sunday. They got some – like fish. Henry Buettner and Philip Mueller left for Wintion, Iowa, a few days ago where they stated they had good positions. A crowd of Waterloo people were out at this burg fishing Sunday but left here disappointed and went home with nothing. The Wartburg correspondent and William Kohlmeyer and his best lady friend spend Sunday afternoon with Burksville friends. John and William Mueller also Emil Buettner were in our burg Friday evening and we did appreciate your call very much boys. Philip Dillenberger and family left for Maeystown where they visited friends in that vicinity. The Warrburg plasterers are now working at Fred Gummerscheimer’s new house near Columbia and expect to have it completed soon.
