The Waterloo Republican September 24, 1941 TRANKLE – HILL Miss Fern Hill of New Athens, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. John Hill, and Clarence Trankle, son of Mrs. Emma Trankle of Waterloo, were married Saturday, September 20, 1941. The ceremony took place in the rectory of St. Agatha’s Church in New Athens, performed by Rev. Leo A. Schloss. Their attendants were Mr. and Mrs. Clinton Trankle, brother and sister- in-law of the groom. The bride’s dress was of transparent wine velvet with black accessories; she wore pearls and a corsage of white gardenias. Her bridesmaid wore a blue crepe dress trimmed in blue transparent velvet. Her accessories were black also, and pink gladioli with pink rosebuds formed her corsage. A wedding breakfast and supper were served to the members of the immediate family at the home of the groom’s mother in Waterloo. Mr. Trankle is associated with his brother in operating the Waterloo Quarry, and the couple will make their home in Waterloo. Their many friends here with them every happiness in their new life.
