William Melcing is busy sawing lumber for John Hempe. George and Walter Brown spent Sunday with Nic Larsie. Mr. and Mrs. Henry Frisch spent Sunday with home folks. Gussie Hempe and Albert Berneking visited Waterloo Sunday. Annie Melching is now employed with Mrs. John Hempe and likes her place well. Mrs. John Hempe and son John, Gussie, Willie, Henry and Annie Melching, Albert Berneking, Mr. and Mrs. William Offermann and daughters Annie and Martha, visited at St. Joe Hempe’s Easter Sunday. The following children made their first holy communion in St. Patrick’s Catholic Church at Tiptown Sunday morning, Father Irose officiating: Louis May, Joseph Hempe, Clarence Hagene, Raymond Crook, Wendel Forness, Carl McCarthy, Raymond Dugan, Henrietta Hempe, Josephine Dougherty and Loretta Forness.
