The Times Friday, October 22, 1915 Squire Demint Has a Double-Header Mr. Charles Brown of 1405a Missouri Avenue and Mrs. Amelia Kratzmeyer of 1139 Missouri Avenue, East St. Louis, and Mr. George W. Rehm and Miss Vinnetta Marquardt both of St. Louis, all came down on the noon car Wednesday, and after hunting up Squire Louis S. Demint, each couple took out a marriage license and were joined in holy wedlock by the “Squire” at the same time. John. E. (“Dick”) Mentel and J.F. Schmidt acted as witnesses. The two couples came down on the same car together, yet each had never met the other, but form now on will be great friends and intend to visit each other often. Mrs. Brown was formerly Amelia Bauman having divorced Kratzmeyer in June, 1914. Mr. and Mrs. Brown returned to E. St. Louis on the 1:30 P.M. car and will go to housekeeping at once in a nice furnished bungalow which the groom has just fitted up. Mr. and Mrs. Rehm returned to their home in St. Louis on the 3 o’clock car after a short visit with Mrs. Theo. Ruch, a personal friend of the bride’s family. The Times had the pleasure of meeting the young folks and wishes them all the luck in the world.
