The Waterloo Times Friday, May 7, 1915 Marriages John P.Grub and Miss Virginia Michael, both of St. Louis, came out on the 4:15 P.M. car last Thursday, secured a “marriage warrant” and were connected for life, in the parlors of the City Hotel by Judge Hugo Bremser. Robert Smith a relative of the bride and Josie Bickelhaupt were subpoenaed as witness to the ceremony. John J. McMurray and Miss Ella Meyer came in on an afternoon car Saturday from St. Louis, applied to Deputy County Clerk Hugo Bremser for a marriage license and the couple were married in the County Clerk’s office by Squire Louis S. Demint. Clarence S. Dashner of Renault, Ill., was a witness to the wedding ceremony.
