The Waterloo Times December 3, 1915 ‘BLITZ’ KALBITZ BECOMES A BENEDICT Miss Mayme Heck and Mr. Edward Kalbitz of Red Bud, stole a march on their many friends by coming to Waterloo Monday morning and being quietly married at the Catholic parsonage by Rev. Krewet. They were attended by Mr. and Mrs. Al. Jung of this city, intimate friends of the contracting parties. After a bounteous breakfast at the Jung home the newly weds departed for Red Bud to spend the day, after which they will leave for Chester where they will make their future home. The groom is the son of Postmaster Kalbitz of Red Bud, and at present is deputy sheriff of Randolph County. The bride is one of Red Bud’s most estimable young ladies and numbers her friends by the score. The Times joins in wishing “Blitz” and his better half smooth sailing over the matrimonial sea.
