The Waterloo Times Friday, April 9, 1915 Foster Pond John Lorenz thinks he will go back to Iowa next fall. It is a little far away, Johnie. Don’t look for Charley Schaefer’s old house when passing. It’s not there anymore. There was a birthday surprise at Herman Schneider’s near the creek, Monday evening. Mrs. Lorenz, son Hugo and George Born, wife, and baby boy were visitors near Harrisonville, after attending mass at that place Easter Sunday. Albert McDonald, hired man at H. J. Stumpf’s and Wallace McDonald, hired help at George W. Harbaugh’s, both spent Easter days with their parents over in the Copp’s district. Mr. Anton Wierschem, Sr., near Madonnaville was reported as being very poorly Sunday. Some time since he had an attack of hiccough that was hard to break. The old gentleman has suffered quite much the last months. Adolph Stumpt autoed out this way with his new machine, Saturday. There is nothing slow about-the machine. Albert Mueller and wife of St. Louis autoed out with Adolph and spent Easter time with Mueller-Stumpf relatives. Easter Sunday came and was duly observed by the Christian people. Most children, no doubt, had a plenty of the colored eggs to store away, so now nothing is left, but to reflect how well we spent the solemn time and the children to think of how good the eggs were.
