The Waterloo Republican October 29, 1914 SUTTERVILLE I. Hern is busy hauling lumber for a new barn. Henry N. Meyer is building a new cattle barn. John Bald of Burksville was a visitor here one day last week. William H. Sutter is busy making a foundation for a new barn. John M. Burkhardt is still busy working in the ditch with his crew. Some of the farmers in this vicinity have finished sowing wheat. Fauerbach Brothers have just finished a new barn for William Kuehne. Henry Sutter and son were in Waterloo a few days attending court. William and Chris Sutter have been busy sawing lumber the past week. The birthday party at Hy. Sutter’s was well attended Sunday evening. Henry Schneider of Waterloo made a trip through this vicinity one day last week. Quite a few from around here attended the fish fry in the bottom Saturday. Mrs. John Stuehmeyer and Mrs. William H. Sutter spent a day in Waterloo last week. Quite a number from around here attended the Missionfest at Brownsburg Saturday. Henry N. Meyer and wife and Christ Sutter and wife visited Valmeyer friends Sunday. John M. Burkhardt of Waterloo visited friends in the neighborhood one day last week. Miss Annie Kunkel, who is employed in St. Louis, spent a few days at home last week. William H. Sutter purchased a hydraulic cider press and will be ready to make cider in the near future. Miss Katie Smith, who is staying at the home of J.W. Jackson in Waterloo, spent Sunday at home. Rev. Baumgaertel and cousin of St. Joe spent a day with Henry H. Meyer and family one day last week. Quite a few from here attended the moving picture show at Brownsburg last week and report it all right.
