The Waterloo Republican July 18, 1951 SURPRISED ON SILVER WEDDING ANNIVERSARY Mr. and Mrs. Charles Schmieg were pleasantly surprised Sunday afternoon, July 8, when a group of relatives and friends gathered at their home near Fults to wish them happiness on their silver Wedding Anniversary. The brought with them trays of delicious sandwiches and a number of beautiful cakes, including a beautifully decorated wedding cake adorned with 25th anniversary ornaments. After the gifts were opened, lunch and refreshments were served.
