Mrs. Ed Fridrich of St. Louis is the guest of John Keller and family.

Mr. Wm. Franke and daughter Miss Nora are visiting with relatives at Freeburg.

Jac. Fauss of Waterloo has returned after spending several days with relatives here.

Mrs. Chas. Klein is visiting with relatives at Waterloo, Red Bud and E. St. Louis this week.

Quite a number of our young folks attended the Literary Society given at the High Prairie 
School Friday evening.

Mrs. Aug. Franke was surprised by a number of her friends Wednesday afternoon in honor 
of her birthday. All enjoyed a very pleasant afternoon.

The funeral of Mrs. Christ Fischer took place here Saturday afternoon. She was making her 
home with her daughter Mrs. Geo. Huber at Festus, Mo.
