The Waterloo Times May 28, 1915 RECEIVES CHRISTMAS PRESENT MAY 24 Miss Emma Ruch received a box Monday which contained her Christmas present from Mrs. Paul Ilg of Dubuque, Iowa. The box went astray for some reason or other and after being bumped around over the country in Uncle Sam’s care for five months finally landed in Waterloo, Illinois, and was received by its owner. Miss Ruch says it is better to receive a present late than never, and says it is rather novel to have a Christmas gift arrive at a time when the flowers are in bloom.
