The Waterloo Times May 28, 1915 BURKSVILLE BOY INJURED BY AUTO Adolph Lang, aged seven years, son of Mr. and Mrs. Lang of Burksville, Ill., was struck by an auto driven by Mr. Callaham last Saturday morning and seriously injured. Dr. Schellschmidt of this city was summoned and dressed the boy’s wounds, cuts on the arms, four ribs broken, collar bone broken and other bruises. Mr. Callaham, driver of the machine was taking the car from St. Louis to Cape Girardeau and in passing through Burksville, the boy, in running across the street was struck by the machine.
