The Waterloo Times Feb 26, 1913 LUCIUS-SCHMIDT Miss Mollie Schmidt was married to Mr. A. Lucius here today. Miss Schmidt was one of our teachers in the public schools here last winter, and proved to be a very popular and successful teacher. She is a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Edward Schmidt of Hecker. The groom is a prominent young jeweler of this city, having the confidence and esteem of all. The ceremony was solemnized at 8 o’clock by Rev. Father C. Kuhlmann. To the strains of the Mendelsohn wedding march the bridal party marched into the church. The party consisted of the ring bearer, Miss Leona Wombacher, the flower girl, Miss Eugenia Schmidt of Waterloo, the bride and groom, the bridesmaid, Miss Cathryn Schmidt of St. Louis, the groomsman, Daniel Schmidt, of Hecker, and the parents and relatives of the couple. The bride was handsomely costumed in a gown of white brocaded satin, while the bridesmaid wore pale blue charmeuse. The flowers were white carnations and ferns. After the ceremony, the bridal party repaired to the home of the groom’s parents, where a reception was tendered them, only the nearest relatives being in attendance. The out of town guests who were here for the wedding were: Mr. Philip Lucius and family of Toulon, Ills., Mr. and Mrs. Edward Schmidt and Mr. Daniel Schmidt, of Hecker, Ills., Mr. J. F. Schmidt and family of Waterloo, Ill., Miss Cathryn Schmidt of St. Louis, and Miss Belle Nixon of Marissa. Many friends join in extending best wishes.
