The Waterloo Times Feb 19, 1915 Cupid’s Capers Married by Demint & Bremser. Ernst I. Bennett and Margaret M. Wiltshire, both of East St. Louis, were married here Saturday afternoon by “the trust.” The groom is a clerk in a jewelry stone. His bride is a pretty little brunette of 17 summers and was accompanied here by her mother, Mrs. Mary Wiltshire, who gave her assent to the marriage, the young lady being under the age required by law. In Wednesday morning’s Republic we note the couple were married for the second time Tuesday at St. Mary’s Catholic church in East St. Louis at the request of Mrs. Bennett’s parents.
