Ziegler, Cynthia Diane nee Lasley Obit Cynthia Diane Ziegler nee Lasley, 72, of Waterloo, died Jan. 10, 2007, in Columbia. She was born June 9, 1934, in Napton, Mo., the daughter of the late Charles Dewey and Bertina Marie Lasley nee Hinton. She was married to George W. Ziegler for 56 years. Mrs. Ziegler is survived by her husband; children Pat (Jim) Hall of Waterloo, Laura (Mark) Blevins of Waterloo, Linda (Dave) Zinselmeier of St. Charles, Mo., and Tim (Leah) Ziegler of Valmeyer; grandchildren Kristin Cyvas (fiance Steve Chapman), Amy (Kris) Gebke, Denise (Chris) Garrett, Kaitlyn Creamer, Joseph Hernandez, Matt Blevins and Dustin Schaffer; great-grandchildren Caleb Gebke and Mya Gebke; sister-in-law Beulah Lasley of Big Rapids, Mich.; and nieces, nephews and cousins. She was preceded in death by her parents, sister Nancy Daugherty, and brothers Donals Lasley and Bill Lasley. Mrs. Ziegler was a member of St. Paul United Church of Christ Consistory and was a Sunday school teacher. She worked for Dr. C.H. Kahn for more than 20 years. She was a long-time member of the VFW Ladies Auxiliary, was former chairman of the City of Waterloo Zoning Board of Appeals, and was a former member of the Waterloo School Board, City of Waterloo Special Planning Committee and the Monroe County Democratic Club. Mrs. Ziegler has a wonder sense of humor and was a much-loved member of the community. Visitation was at Quernheim Funeral Home. Funeral services were at St. Paul United Church of Christ in Waterloo, Pastor Mary Beth Hartenstein officiating. She is buried at Kolmer Memorial Cemetery in Waterloo.
