Buettner, Roger O.   Obit

Roger O. Buettner, 70, of Waterloo, died Jan. 15, 2007, in Belleville. He 
was born April 1, 1936, in Waterloo, the son of the late Victor F. and Lena 
T. Buettner nee Straub. He was married to Shirley E. Buettner nee Shannon. 
Mr. Buettner is survived by his wife; children Roger Dale (Pamela) Buettner 
of Maeystown, Jacqueline Buettner of Belleville, Ronnie Buettner of Waterloo, 
and Pamela (Joe) Pickering of Monroe County; grandchildren Brad, Randy, 
Kevin, Michelle, Andrea, Jacob, Mathew and Austin; three great-grandchildren; 
brothers Victor T. (Iris) Buettner of Waterloo, and Ralph (Karen) Buettner of 
Waterloo; and sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law, nieces, nephews and cousins. 
He was preceded in death by his parents. Mr. Buettner was a member of 
Masonic Lodge #787 in Waterloo, Teamsters Local #50 and the Monroe 
County Historical Society. Visitation and a funeral service were at Quernheim 
Funeral Home, Pastor Gale Lambert officiating. He is buried at Lakeview 
Memorial Gardens in Fairview Heights. Memorials may be made to Shriner’s 
Hospital’s hospice.
