Boehne, Fred O. Fred O. “Freddie” Boehne, 79, of Waterloo, died Feb. 5, 2007, in Red Bud. He was born Dec. 8, 1927, in Monroe County, the son of the late Fred W. and Margaret Boehne nee Hoffmann. He was married to Marcella Dependahl- Boehne nee Kipping. Mr. Boehne is survived by his wife; daughter Barb (Bill) Steele; step-children Melinda (Chuck) Faus, Bill (Linda) Dependahl, Jack Dependahl, and Richard (Patti) Dependahl; grandchildren Mark (Carol) Limestall and William Limestall; step-grandchildren Jenese (Doug) Huebner, Courtney (Brad) Schweickhardt, Emily Dependahl, Sarah Dependahl, and Kaylee Dependahl; great-grandchildren Nicholas Limestall, Nickala Limestall and Ian Michael Huebner; sisters-in-law Mildred Boehne of Waterloo, and Esther Boehne of Waterloo; and sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law, nieces, nephews and cousins. He was preceded in death by his parents, first wife Ruth M. Boehne nee Pape, sister Margurite Schanz, and brothers Raymond G. Boehne, Robert W. Boehne and Norman Boehne. Mr. Boehne was a member of Holy Cross Lutheran Church in Wartburg. He was a farmer, bus driver, assistant manger of FS and was retired from the Illinois Department of Transportation. He was an avid hunter, fisherman and horseshoe pitcher. Visitation was at Quernheim Funeral Home. A funeral service was at Holy Cross Lutheran Church, Pastor Stuart Rethwisch officiating. He is buried at Holy Cross Lutheran Cemetery in Wartburg. Memorials may be made to Holy Cross Lutheran Church in Wartburg of the American Heart Association.
