Bequette, Francis C. Francis C. “Carl” Bequette, 85, of Waterloo, died July 26, 2007, in Red Bud. He was born Nov. 23, 1921, in Old Mines, Mo., the son of the late Lennis and Margaret Bequette nee DeClue. He was married to Gladys Bequette nee Weber. Mr. Bequette is survived by his wife; children Karlene (Paul) Feldker of Waterloo, Terry (Mary Tegel) Bequette of Eugene, Ore., William (Cheryl) Bequette of Mt. Zion, and Thomas (Sandy) Bequette of Waterloo; grandchildren Julie (Rodney) Fickas, David (Kim) Feldker, William (Leigh-Ann) Feldker, Todd Bequette, Jodie (Brian) Hitchman, Lindy Bequette, Andrew (Julie) Bequette and Amanda Bequette; step-grandchildren Doug (Sarah) Sparwasser, Christie (Justin) Osterhage, Enna (Matt) Grazier, and Elise Randalls; great-grand children Bryce Fickas, Tyler Fickas, Nate Fickas, Kyle Feldker, Alaina Feldker, Jacob Feldker, Andrew Feldker, Avery Bequette and Caroline Bequette; step-great-grandchildren Cameron Hitchman, Ollie Grazier, and Will Grazier; sister Mary (Lynn) Gideon of DeSoto, Mo.; brothers Matt (Rebecca) Bequette of Herculaneum, Mo., and Lennis (Bernice) Bequette of Mountain Home, Ark.; sisters-in-law Rosann Bequette of Mountain Home, Ark., and Norma Bequette of Crystal City, Mo.; and nieces, nephews and cousins. He was preceded in death by his parents, sister Marjorie Emily, brother Sylvester Paschal Bequette, and brother and sister Adrian and Janice Bequette. Mr. Bequette was a member of SS. Peter and Paul Catholic Church in Waterloo. He was also a member of Knights of Columbus #1334 and the American Legion. Visitation was at Quernheim Funeral Home. A funeral Mass was at SS. Peter and Paul Church, Msgr. Thomas Flach officiating. He is buried at SS. Peter and Paul Cemetery in Waterloo. Memorials may be made to SS. Peter and Paul Church, the Alzheimer’s Association, or in the form of Masses.
