Fred S. Roth Sr., 87, of Alpharetta, Ga., formerly of Columbia, died June 5, 2004, 
at his residence. Mr.Roth was married to Marian E. Roth nee Cofer. He was born 
September 17, 1916, at California, Mo., the son of the late Edward and Clara Roth 
nee Hempel. He is survived by his son Fred (Joanne) Roth; daughter-in-law Christine 
(O’Brien) Roth; grandchildren Julie Friedman, Amy Roth, Jeremy Roth, Timothy 
Roth, Marsha Roth and Stephanie Roth; great-grandchildren Anastasia Roth, Nathaniel 
Friedman and Ella Friedman; and nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. He was 
preceded in death by his parents, wife, son Michael Roth and brothers Edward Roth 
and William Roth. Mr. Roth was a member of the African Violet Club, St. Louis Powerboat 
Club and Camera Club. He worked as a purchasing executive with MARTA, St. Louis 
Car Co., LTV and Sikorsky Co. Visitation was at Lawlor Funeral Home. A funeral mass 
was at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Columbia. He is buried at Masonic 
Cemetery in California, Mo. Memorials may be made to the Boy Scouts of America.
