Offermann, Theodore G.
Theodore G. Offermann, 95, of Waterloo, died Oct. 16, 2006, in Waterloo. He was 
born Aug. 16, 1911, in Renault, the son of the late John D. and Katherina Offermann 
nee Wild. He was married to the late Ruth Offermann. Mr. Offermann is survived by 
his son Larry (Karen) Offermann of Waterloo; grandchildren Brian Offermann and 
Amy Offermann; siblings Vera (Ervin) Rippelmeyer of Waterloo, Hilda Scheibe of 
Waterloo and John (Mabel) Offermann of Columbia; and sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law, 
nieces, nephews and cousins. He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, sisters and 
a brother. Mr. Offermann was a member of St. Paul United Church of Christ in Waterloo. 
He was also a member of the American Legion for more than 60 years and the Monroe 
County Farm Bureau. He was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II and was a retired 
farmer. Visitation was at Quernheim Funeral Home. A funeral service was at St. Paul 
United Church of Christ, Pastor Mary Beth Hartenstein officiating. He is buried at 
Kolmer Memorial Cemetery in Waterloo. Memorials may be made to American 
Cancer Society or Hospice of Southern Illinois.
