Mullendore, Bernadette nee Kroll
Bernadette Mullendore nee Kroll, 64, of Swisher, Ia., formerly of Columbia, died 
May 22, 2006, in Iowa. She was born May 22, 1942, in Sugar Creek, Mo., to 
John J. and Barbara Kroll nee Bernadich. She was married to Lawrence Mullendore 
for 43 years. Mrs. Mullendore is survived by her husband; sons Randal Mullendore 
and Scott Mullendore; four grandchildren; sister Barbara Dime; and aunt Mildred 
“Milka” Bernadich. She was preceded in death by her parents and brother John 
Kroll, Jr. Mrs. Mullendore was a former member of Immaculate Conception Church 
in Columbia, where she and her husband raised their children. She owned and operated 
a family business while raising her sons, and worked as an administrator with the 
court appointed special advocates for abused and neglected children. Visitation was 
at Carson-Speaks Chapel in Independence, Mo. A funeral mass was held at St. Cyril’s 
Catholic Church in Sugar Creek, Mo. Memorials may be made to the Leukemia and 
Lymphoma Society.
