Linnertz, Joseph A. Joseph A. Linnertz, 73, of Waterloo, died Feb. 8, 2006, in Belleville. He was born Feb. 27, 1032, in Prairie du Rocher, the son of the late Frank H. and Cecilia Linnertz nee Shea. He was married to Gloria J. Linnertz nee Winters. Mr. Linnertz is survived by his wife; sisters Margaret Heck of Waterloo, Anna Pelate of Red Bud, Virginia Cooper of Titus, Ala., and Mary Wilson of Red Bud; brother Earl (Pat) Linnertz of Red Bud; sister-in-law Maxine Linnertz of Prairie du Rocher; father- and mother-in-law Herman and Waurine Winters of Madison, Tenn.; and brothers- and sisters-in-law Don and Alice Winters of Gallatin, Tenn., and Steve and Carolyn Winters of Falls Church, Va.; and nieces, nephews and cousins. He was preceded in death by his parents and brothers Alvin and John Linnertz. Mr. Linnertz was a member of Ss. Peter and Paul Catholic Church. He was a U.S. Army veteran of the Korean War. Visitation was at Quernheim Funeral Home. A funeral mass was at Ss. Peter and Paul Catholic Church, Fr. James Long officiating. He is buried at Ss. Peter and Paul Cemetery in Waterloo. Memorials may be made to the American Heart Association or in the form of masses.
