Knefelkamp, Edward J. Edward J. Knefelkamp, 89, of Waterloo, died March 29, 2005, in Belleville. He was born June 9, 1916, in Belleville, the son of the late Edward and Lena Knefelkamp nee Engel. He married the late Verona H. Knefelkamp nee Schayth in 1939. Mr. Knefelkamp is survived by his son Jan (Cheryl) Knefelkamp of Hohenwald, Tenn.; son-in-law John Cookson of Annapolis, Md.; grandchildren Chad (Michelle) Knefelkamp of Waterloo, Valerie (Charles) Cookson-Botto of Winchester, Va., Angela (Grant) Orr of Darnestown, Md., Stacey (Tim) Greuttemeyer of Foristell, Mo., Christine (Sean Lawrence) Cookson of North Hollywood, Calif., Kelly Knefelkamp, Kyle Knefelkamp, Olivia Orr, Anthony Orr and Isabelle Botto; dear friend Mary Hoffmann of Waterloo; and nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; wife; daughter Toni Ann Cookson; brothers Marshall Knefelkamp and Homer Knefelkamp, and sisters Leona Knefelkamp, Ruth Kirkwood, Helen Williamson and Mildred Place. Mr. Knefelkamp was at U.S. Army veteran of World War II. He was a member of Telephone Pioneers of America. Visitation and a memorial service were at Quernheim Funeral Home, Msgr. Thomas Flach officiating. He is buried at Valhalla Cemetery in Belleville. Memorials may be made to Ss. Peter and Paul School.
