Keim, Glenn A. Glenn A. Keim, 79, of Waterloo, died Feb. 27, 2006, in Waterloo. He was born Sept. 22, 1926, in Waterloo, the son of the late August Louis and Louise Keim nee Kopp. He was married to Theresa Lerch Keim nee Marquardt. Mr. Keim is survived by his wife; children Mark (Debbie) Keim of Waterloo, Jerry (JoAnn) Keim of Cutler, Marcia (Mike) Kreher of Waterloo, Denis Keim of Waterloo, Lynn (Stan) Hope of Beaverton, Ore., Joel Keim of Waterloo, and Matthew (Tracy) Keim of Red Bud; step-children Joan (Jim) Birke of Red Bud, and Tim (Shelly) Lerch of Waterloo; 22 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; and nieces, nephews and cousins. He was preceded in death by his parents; first wife Ruth C. Keim nee Reis; brothers Freeman J. Keim and Leroy Keim; and step-daughter Jane Lerch. Mr. Keim was a member of St. Paul United Church of Christ. He was a former board member of St. Paul Evangelical Burial Park. He retired from Metzger Equipment Company. He was a member of Metzger- Crook VFW Post 6504. He was a former Scout Master of Troop 369, and was a former member of the Waterloo Planning Commission. He was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II. Visitation was at Quernheim Funeral Home. Funeral services were at St. Paul United Church of Christ in Waterloo, Pastor Mary Beth Hartenstein officiating. He is buried at Kolmer Memorial Cemetery in Waterloo. Memorials may be made to Hospice of Southern Illinois or St. Paul Evangelical Burial Park.
