Heusohn, Marie L. nee Borcharding Marie L. Heusohn nee Borcharding, 87, of Waterloo, died May 21, 2006, in Waterloo. She was born Oct. 1, 1918, in Maeystown, the daughter of the late Henry and Wilhelmina Borcharding nee Juelfs. She was married to the late Alfred M. Heusohn. Mrs. Heusohn is survived by her children Janet (Delbert) Scheibe of Waterloo, Jerry (Helen) Heusohn of Waterloo, Judy (Bob) Mentel of Broomfield, Colo., John (Becky) Heusohn of Valmeyer, and Joyce (Roland) Wegener of Waterloo; daughter-in-law Shirley Heusohn of Pensacola, Fla.; 17 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; brother Alvin (Arlou) Borcharding of Columbia; sister-in-law Ardell Mueller of Waterloo; dear friend Amanda Goss; and nieces, nephews, cousins and many friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, son James Heusohn, daughter Jacklyn Heusohn, sisters Nelda Smith and Ardell Durrer, and brothers Armin Borcharding, Henry Borcharding and Alfred Borcharding. Mrs. Heusohn was a member of St. Paul United Church of Christ in Waterloo. She was also a member of the Waterloo American Legion Auxiliary and Woodmen of the World. Visitation was at Quernheim Funeral Home. Funeral services were at St. Paul United Church of Christ, Pastor Mary Beth Hartenstein officiating. She is buried at St. John Cemetery in Valmeyer. Memorials may be made to Oak Hill Nursing Home, St. Paul United Church of Christ or Heartland Hospice.
