Garner, Lelia M. nee Schaper Lelia M. Garner nee Schaper, 82, of Fults, died Nov. 22, 2006, in Fults. She was born July 8, 1924, in Warrenton, Mo., the daughter of the late Ernest and Loma Schaper nee Yocum. She was married to the late Claude A. Garner. Mrs. Garner is survived by her children James Michael Garner, Terry Lee (Jacqueline) Garner, Claudia Kay Herndon, Danny Allen Garner, and Mark Ernest (Dawn) Garner; grandchildren Mike (Suzanne) Nadeau, Brandy Garner, Mike Garner, Larissa Garner, Tracy (Darrell) Kueker, Gina Garner, Rebecca Garner, Alicia (Joseph) Martin, Neil Herndon, Christopher Garner, Jamie Heggemeier and Adam Garner; great-grandchildren Hannah Nadeau, Matthew Nadeau, Brandi Kueker, Bethany Kueker, Danielle Kueker, Dylan Kueker, Noah Martin, Ethan Martin, Emma Martin, and Kaden Heggemeier; great-great-grandchildren Lydia Kueker and Payton LaChance; brother Dr. Ernest (Myrt) Schaper; and friend and companion Wyman Melching. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, and grandchildren Cara Garner and Nicholas Garner. Mrs. Garner was a member of Zion United Church of Christ in St. Joe. She was the former owner of Garner’s Tavern in Renault. Visitation was at Quernheim Funeral Home. A funeral service was held at Zion United Church of Christ in St. Joe, Pastor Nancy Spier-Lee officiating. She is buried at Zion Cemetery in St. Joe.
