Akins, Marcella Amy nee Warren
Marcella Amy Akins nee Warren, 82, of Columbia, died Dec. 31, 2006, in 
Columbia. She was born Sept. 12, 1924, in East St. Louis the daughter of 
the late George D. Warren Sr. and Eula Pearl Warren nee Mitner. She was 
married to the late Cecil “Pee Wee” R. Akins. Mrs. Akins is survived by her 
sons Mark A. (Linda) Akins, and David L. (Theresa) Akins; grandchildren 
David, Alisha, and Travis; great-grandchildren; step-great-grandchildren; 
half-brother George D. Warren Jr.; and other relatives and friends. She was 
preceded in death by her parents and husband. Mrs. Akins was a retired bus 
driver for the Dupo School District. She was a member of the School Bus Drivers 
Teamsters Local #50. She was an avid bowler and belonged to the Woman’s 
Bowling Association. Visitation and a funeral service were at Dashner Funeral 
Home, Rev. Matt Friz officiating. She is interred at Valhalla Gardens of Memory 
in Belleville. Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society.
