The Waterloo Republican Wednesday, December 18, 1912 DEATHS O’LEARY Edward O’Leary, formerly of Renault, was killed in St. Louis last week by a Lee Avenue car which crashed into the bread wagon he was driving. One mule was killed and the two remaining ones ran away. The remains of the unfortunate man were brot to Renault for burial Thursday. The accident happened at Fifteenth and Market. NOTE: Under Obituaries there is an entry for an Edward O'Leary. This is actually Joseph Henry "Harry" O'Leary's obit. He died in St. Louis when his wagon was in a street accident. His brother, Edgar, took care of the funeral, etc. It would appear that the newspaper people got everything screwed up--Edward for Edgar and Edward for Harry. See the 1912 death cert online at MO death certs for verification. Best, Cynthia Vogel
