Red Bud Newspaper December 29, 1933 Josephine Kelly Died in Red Bud At Daughter’s Home Mrs. Josephine Kelly, 72-year old resident of Ruma, died at 8:30 o’clock last night at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Herman Hess of Red Bud. Death was due to complications after an illness of seven weeks. Mrs. Kelly was born in Prairie du Long Township, April 2, 1861, a daughter of Joseph and Rosa Brandt, both of whom are natives of Germany. She was married to William Kelly at Tiptown, Ill., August 22, 1883. Besides her husband, the deceased is survived by one son, Walter Kelly of Burksville, Ill.; six daughters: Mrs. Chris Kern and Mrs. Herman Hess of Red Bud; Mrs. Joseph Kunkel and Mrs. Ambrose Doyle of Burksville, and Mrs. William Carbrey and Mrs. Chester Kribs of St. Louis; one half sister, Mary Millmann of Chicago; three half brothers: August Millmann of Hecker, Andrew Millmann of Colorado, and Dr. John Millmann of Florissant, Mo., and 35 grandchildren. The funeral will be held at 2:30 o’clock Sunday afternoon from the home of Mrs. Herman Hess to St. Patrick Catholic Church in Ruma. Rev. White, the pastor, will conduct the services.
