Unknown newspaper: "Mrs. Mary Heller Renault Illinois, December 3. Mrs. Mary Heller, born March 6, 1808 at Alsace, France, died November 30, 1901, Age 93 years, 8 months and 24 days. She came to America in 1830, lived in Baltimore, Maryland for two years, was married there to Mr. Joseph Heller in 1831. Afterwards came to Monroe County, Illinois and settled near Waterloo, Illinois in 1833. Remained there until 1853, when they moved on to the Renault Grant. To this union were born seven children, Mrs. Henry Juelfs, Mrs. Mary Juelfs, Joseph, Frederick and John Heller who survived her, and Mrs. Eva Smit and Mrs. Ellen Wortmann, deceased. The deceased leaves forty-four grand-children and twenty-nine great grandchildren. "Grandma Heller" as she was commonly called by all who knew her was loved by all. Funeral services were conducted at the Lutheran Church and the remains were then laid to rest in the cemetery. The entire families has the sympathy of all friends. And chair which never can be replaced, again. But it was God's will to take our dear mother and grand-mother. May she rest in peace. - December 3, 1901" Mary Heller, nee Ritzler, is my great-great-great-grandmother.
