William H. Mueller, Sr. 

William H. Mueller Sr., of Waterloo, Route 4, husband of Mrs. Hilda Mueller (nee Zink), 
died Sunday afternoon, April 2, at his home near Waterloo.  He was born at Columbia, 
Illinois on November 19, 1897, a son of Henry and Margaret Mueller (nee Eckert), and 
had reached the age of 74 years, 4 months and 13 days.

Besides his wife, he is survived by one daughter, Mrs. Vernon (Lawrence) Hesteberg of 
Waterloo; two sons, Harold Mueller and William H. Mueller Jr., both of Waterloo; 11 
grandchildren and a half-brother, Fred Frierdichs of Waterloo.

The remains were in state at the Quernheim Funeral Home of Waterloo.  Funeral services 
were held Tuesday afternoon in St. Paul’s United Church of Christ, Waterloo, and Pastor 
Fred Wehrenberg officiating.  Interment was in Kolmer Memorial Burial Park.

Mr. Mueller, a retired farmer, has resided near Waterloo for the past 33 years.
