Cedar Grove

Bernard Kunkel of near here died after a long illness.  He was buried on Wednesday morning 
at Renault.  He leaves besides his wife seven children, George of near here, Mrs. L. Haggenie 
of Pickneyville, and Katie, Annie, Mamie and Bennie.  He also leaves a brother Mike Kunkel.

Some of our folks attended the Farmers’ Institute at Columbia.  The school children went in a
truck.

Miss Eleanora Oelzen, daughter of Charlie Oelzen fell from a ladder and broke her leg.  Her
 friends hope for her speedy recovery.

The trains were blocked at Fults Monday on account of the heavy rains.
