The Waterloo Times May 28, 1915 HECKER LADY DIED SUDDENLY LAST WEEK Mrs. Elizabeth Gregson, nee McQuillan, relict of the late Louis Gregson, died very suddenly Friday, May 21, 1915, at her home in Prairie du Long, at the age of 70 years, Her husband preceded her in death about ten years ago. She leaves to mourn her loss four sons, Edward, Albert, Louis and Guy and one daughter, Mrs. Percy Starr, who resides at Collinsville and a sister, Mrs. Joseph Roscow of Hecker. Mrs. Gregson had been a resident of Prairie du Long all her life and had lived on the place where she died for the past fifty years. She was known far and wide for her kindly disposition and genial ways. Her funeral, which took place Monday at the Prairie du Long cemetery after requiem mass by Father Kaup in the Catholic Church at Hecker, was over a mile in length. The bereaved relatives have the sincere sympathy of their many friends in the loss of their dear one.
