Crosby, Lola L. nee Miller

Lola L. Crosby nee Miller, 80, of Waterloo, died October 12, 2005, in Columbia. She was born 
August 28, 1925, in St. Louis, the daughter of the late Everett “Peck” and Nell Miller nee Vaughn. 
She was married to the late David W. Crosby. She is survived by her children Thomas David Crosby 
of Saudi Arabia, Rosalind (Paul) Hawkins of Lafayette, La., and Cynthia Leeck of Opdyke; grandchildren 
David Edmond Crosby, Rosalind Leeck, Henry David “Buster” Leeck; sisters Charlotte Dollar of Festus, 
Mo., Loretta Sue Jackson of Festus, Mo., and Mary Janet Rhoden of San Clemente, Calif.; and nieces, 
nephews and cousins. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, brother Harold Miller, and 
son-in-law Douglas Leeck. Mrs. Crosby was a member of the Monroe County Democratic Club, of which 
she was chairwoman for more than 40 years. Visitation and funeral services were at Quernheim Funeral 
Home, Stacy Tate officiating. She is buried at Opdyke Cemetery in Opdyke. Memorials may be made to
 the Doug Leeck Memorial Scholarship Fund of Heartland Hospice in Fairview Heights.
