Taake, Myrtle M. nee Meyer Myrtle M. Taake nee Meyer, 73, of Waterloo, died January 1, 2006, in St. Louis. She was born February 14, 1932, in St. Louis, the daughter of the late Louis and Hilda Meyer nee Vasel. She was married to Burton Taake. Mr. Taake is survived by her husband; sons Marvin (Patricia) Taake of Waterloo, Larry Taake of St. Louis, Ronald (Althea) Taake of Waterloo, and Wayne (Lisa) Taake of Waterloo; grand- children Chad (fiancee Natalie Baxmeyer) Taake, Krista Taake, Anna (Kevin) Guebert, Andrew Taake, Adam Taake, Adrian Taake, Emily Taake, and Griffin Taake; sisters Evelyn (Erwin) Walter of St. Louis, and Eleanor (Norman) Koch of Arnold, Mo.; sisters-in-law Rosalie Meyer of Arnold, Carol Taake of Belleville, and Arlene (Leslie) Stumpf of Columbia; and aunts, nieces, nephews and cousins. She was preceded in death by her parents, brother Louis Meyer and brother-in-law Alvin Taake. Mrs. Taake was a member of St. Paul United Church of Christ. She was involved with Columbia Sister Cities and Waterloo Sister Cities. She was also a member of Monroe County HCE and Monroe County Farm Bureau. Visitation was at Quernheim Funeral Home in Waterloo. Funeral services were at St. Paul United Church of Christ in Waterloo, Pastor Mary Beth Hartenstein officiating. She is buried at Kolmer Memorial Cemetery in Waterloo. Memorials may be made to Parkinson Disease support groups. Mary F. Prange nee Jaeger, 83, of Waterloo, died January 1, 2006, in Belleville. She was born August 28, 1922, in Waterloo, the daughter of the late Walter and Aleda Jaeger nee Rosemann. She was married to the late Elmer J. Prange. Mrs. Prange is survived by her children John R. (Shayne) Prange of Morrison, William F. (Angela) Prange of Waterloo, Mark J. (Theresa) Prange of St. Louis, and Christine (Curt) Miller of Waterloo; grandchildren Stephen Prange, Brian Prange, Laura Prange, Brandy Prange, Nicholas Prange, Brittany Prange, Jennifer Prange, Jack Prange, Alex Prange, Cory Miller and Casey Miller; sister Dorothy (Joe) Viola of Chicago; brother-in-law Bob Bigalow of Minnesota; and nieces, nephews and cousins. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, son James Prange, sister Genevieve Bigalow and brother Robert Jaeger. Mrs. Prange was a member of Ss. Peter and Paul Catholic Church and Mary and Marth Society. She volunteered for the American Red Cross and the Monroe County Care and Rehab Center. She was a member of the VFW Ladies Auxiliary and was a Paul Harris Fellow. Visitation was at Quernheim Funeral Home. A funeral mass was at Ss. Peter and Paul Catholic Church, Msgr. Thomas Flach officiating. She is buried at Ss. Peter and Paul Cemetery in Waterloo. Memorials may be made to the American Lung Association or Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic School in Waterloo.
