Spytek, Leo Leo Spytek, 85, of Columbia, died April 13, 2005, in Belleville. He was born October 15, 1919, in Royalton, the son of the late Jacob and Anna Spytek nee Bayer. He married Josephine Spytek nee Bagdonas in 1944. He is survived by his wife; daughters Sue Ann (Robert) Kay of Golden, Colo., and Norma (Sherrill) Puckett of Milford, Ohio; sons John (Marcia) Spytek of Waterloo and Joseph (Linda) Spytek of Arlington, Va.; 10 grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; sister Helen Starasta of Royalton; and other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, brothers Adolph Spytek, Fred Spytek and Herman Spytek, sisters Mildred Olkoski and Julia Kaminski, and one grandchild. Mr. Spytek was a member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church. He was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II. Visitation and funeral services were at Lawlor Funeral Home, Fr. Carl Scherrer and Pastor Dennis Jones officiating. He is buried at Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery. Memorials may be made to Immaculate Conception Education Fund.
