Kolodgie, Virgil F. Virgil F. Kolodgie Jr., 77, of Waterloo, died December 18, 2005, in St. Louis. He was born March 27, 1928, in St. Louis, the son of the late Virgil F. and Mary Catherine Kolodgie nee Tierney. He was formerly married to Margaret M. Kolodgie. He is survived by his former wife; children Maggie (Steve) Black of Waterloo, Lisa Sankey of O’Fallon, Mo., and David (Tuffy) Kolodgie of St. Louis; grandchildren Christopher (Kelly) Black, Andrea (Tim) Hansel, Tanya Sankey, Kelly Sankey, Heather Kolodgie, Nicholas Kolodgie, Sarah Kolodgie, Dakota Kolodgie, Cheyenne Kolodgie and Ronnie Kolodgie; great-granddaughter Haley Luce; and a sister-in-law, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, son Thomas Kolodgie, and brother Jim Kolodgie. Mr. Kolodgie was a member of Ss. Peter and Paul Catholic Church. He was a former Boy Scout leader. He was a veteran of the Korean Conflict. Visitation was at Quernheim Funeral Home. A funeral mass was at Ss. Peter and Paul Catholic Church, Msgr. Thomas Flach officiating. He is buried at Resurrection Cemetery in St. Louis. Memorials may be made to Boy Scouts of America or the American Lung Association.
