Hutchings, Richard C. 
Richard C. Hutchings, 81, of Waterloo, died June 10, 2005, in Red Bud. He was born May 9, 1924, in Cutler, 
the son of the late Thomas E. and Lora M Hutchings nee Henson. He was married to Josephine Hutchings nee 
Poenitske. He is survived by his wife; daughters Phyllis (Charles) Lloyd of Waterloo and Kathryn Schrader of 
Waterloo; grandson Michael (Pam) Lloyd; great-grandchildren Erika Lloyd and Aaron Lloyd; and sisters-in-law, 
brothers-in-law, nieces, nephews and cousins. He was preceded in death by his parents, a brother in infancy and 
a grandson in infancy. Mr. Hutchings was a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church in Waterloo. He was a member 
of American Legion Post #747, United Auto Workers Local #2250,and was a U.S. Navy veteran of World War II. 
Visitation and funeral services were at Quernheim Funeral Home, Pastor Kyle Sandersfeld officiating. He is buried 
at Kolmer Memorial Cemetery in Waterloo. Memorials may be made to Immanuel Lutheran Church of Waterloo 
or Family Hospice.
