Roy, Earl H.
Earl H. “Buck” Roy, 61, of Valmeyer, died September 23, 2004, in Belleville. He was married 
to Carol Roy nee Wuertz. Mr. Roy was born October 22, 1942, in Maeystown, the son of the 
late Leonard and Eunice M. Roy nee Nichols. He is survived by his wife; daughter Beth (Tom) 
Andres, of Valmeyer; grandchildren Luke Andres and Sara Andres, of Valmeyer; sister Mary 
(Larry) Mehrtens; brothers Shelt (Nancy) Roy, of Waterloo, Leonard Jr. (LouAnne Roy), of 
Waterloo, Lonnie Roy, of Fults, and Cleo (Vanessa) Roy, of Waterloo; and aunts, uncles, 
sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law, nieces, nephews and cousins. He was preceded in death by 
his parents. Mr. Roy was a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Valmeyer. He was 
employed as a carpenter at CS 2000 in Fairview Heights and was a member of Carpenter’s 
Union 2119. Visitation was at Quernheim Funeral Home. His funeral mass was at St. Mary’s 
Church, Fr. John Ssebitosi officiating. He is buried at Immaculate Conception Cemetery in 
Columbia. Memorials may be made to the Valmeyer Music Department or St. Mary’s Educational 
Fund.
