The Waterloo Republican June 1, 1927 Deaths KOHLER Mrs. Mary Kohler, nee Mentel, died May 25, 1927, aged 54 years, 5 months and 15 days. The deceased had not been in good health for several years. She was born near Foster Pond on Dec. 10, 1872 daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Adam Mentel. On May 5, 1897 she was married to Alvanus Kohler. To this union were born sons Alfred, Edward and Leo and a daughter Leona. One daughter died in infancy. She leaves one sister Mrs. Edward Kipping and brothers Adam, John and Fred. The deceased was a devout member of SS. Peter and Paul’s Catholic church, also a member of Mary and Martha society and the Rosary. The remains were interred in the Catholic cemetery here Saturday after Impressive services by Rev. Eschmann, assisted by Rev. Stern and Rev. Westcamp. The deceased was held in high esteem by all and the funeral was attended by a number of sympathizing friends.
