Baumann, Elma Alberta nee Meyer
Elma Alberta Baumann nee Meyer, 86, of Columbia, died March 28, 2005, in 
Columbia. She was born April 13, 1918, in Valmeyer, the daughter of the late 
Robert and Zella Meyer nee Agnew. She married the late Walter Baumann in 
1952. She is survived by her daughters Mary Jean (Albert) Diehl of Columbia 
and Cynthia Ann Baumann of Columbia; grandchildren Vanessa Diehl and 
Alex Diehl; sister Jeannette Kimmel of Prairie du Rocher; and other relatives 
and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband and two sisters 
in infancy. Mrs. Baumann was a member of St. Paul United Church of Christ in 
Columbia. Visitation and a memorial service were at Lawlor Funeral Home, 
Pastor Michael Dixon officiating. She is buried at Evangelical St. Paul Cemetery 
in Columbia. Memorials may be made to St. Paul United Church of Christ in 
Columbia or Hospice of Southern Illinois.
