Baer, Patricia L. nee Black
Patricia L. Baer nee Black, 70, of Waterloo, died July 29, 2004, in Waterloo. Mrs. Baer 
was married to Charles M. Baer; he survives her. She was born October 16, 1933, in 
Jennings, Mo., the daughter of the late Clarence and Beulah Black nee Mott. She is 
survived by her husband; children Charles (Donellen) Baer, of West Frankfurt, and Viki 
(Ronald) Goodnick, of Waterloo; grandchildren Emily Baer, Ethan Baer, Sarah Baer, Bailey 
Goodnick, Logan Goodnick and Thomas Goodnick; brother Les (Nancy) Black, of 
Charleston, S.C.; and sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law, nieces, nephews and cousins. She 
was preceded in death by her parents, and sisters Laura Fecte and Nora Hilboldt. Mrs. 
Baer was a member of Ss. Peter and Paul Catholic Church in Waterloo, Angels Girls Club, 
and Holy Family Mother’s Club in Cahokia. She was retired from Cardinal Glennon 
Children’s Hospital. Her funeral mass was at Ss. Peter and Paul Catholic Church, Msgr. 
Thomas Flach officiating. Memorials may be made to Cardinal Glennon Children’s Hospital 
or BJC Hospice.
