Fred Roediger Died Suddenly Sunday Waterloo Republican November 25, 1936 Attended Church In Morning Died Same Evening Fred C. Roediger, of our residents here, died suddenly Sunday evening about eight-thirty, November 22, 1936, after having been up and around during most of the day. He had not been in real good health for some time, but he was able to be around lately and Sunday morning he attended the Lutheran Church here, of which the family are members. He retired later Sunday evening complaining of a headache and he died suddenly that same night. Mr. Roediger was born near Wartburg but for the past several years the family has resided in Waterloo. His wife died in 1933. He is survived by his mother, Mrs. Pauline Roediger of St. Louis, a daughter Mrs. Claud Brand of St. Louis and sons Frank, Herman, and Amandus and daughters Misses Clara and Irene, all at home. Two brothers Charles of St. Louis and Otto Roediger of Columbia and two sisters Mrs. Clara Grosche of St. Louis and Mrs. Pauline Ringsdorf of Waterloo also survive. Mr. Roediger’s funeral took place here this afternoon with church services conducted by Rev. Youssi at the Lutheran Church and interment in the Waterloo cemetery. If Mr. Roediger had lived another day he would have reached the age of 53 years. The bereaved children and family have the deep sympathy of a large circle of friends in the sad hour.
