Reither, Anna Obituary, Waterloo Republic, June 22, 1932 Mrs. Anna Reither, nee Steppig, died in St. Louis on Wednesday, June 16, 1932, and her remains were brought to this city where services were held at the Church of the Immaculate Conception by Father Wiemer and burial was made in the Catholic cemetery in this city. The deceased was born in Columbia October 7, 1861, the daughter of the late Michael Steppig and wife, Appolonia, nee Hehe. She married John Reither, who was brewer in the Monroe Brewery here under the management of the late John Gundlach. The husband died many years ago. For years she lived here where she reared her children, and later moved to St. Louis. She is survived by Mrs. Julia Ofeffer, Mrs. F. A. Fleming, and Albert Reither of St. Louis, and Mrs. August H. Fridrichs of Waterloo. She is further survived by a sister, Mrs. Margaret Kern of Evansville, Ill. and two brothers, Louis and Michael Steppig of Columbia, and seven grandchildren and one great grandchild.
