Watters, Ronald Lee Ronald Lee Watters, 62, of Columbia, died June 10, 2007, in Columbia. He was born Oct. 13, 1944, in East St. Louis, the son of the late Claud L. and Katie J. Watters Sr. nee Boyles. He was married to Sue Watters nee Schwarz. Mr. Watters is survived by his children Matthew (Julie) Watters of Oxford, Mich., Elizabeth (David) Kanyuck of Waterloo, Susannah (Robert) Harper of Torrance, Calif., Jeana (Eric) Quigley of Herriman, Utah, and Micah (Karma) Watters of Arnold, Mo.; grandchildren Michaella Waters, Hailey Watters, Grant Watters, Collin Kanyuck, Elissa Kanyuck, Angelynn Kanyuck, Robert Ethan Harper, Aidan Harper, Susannah “Anna” Harper, Bianca Quigley and Portia Quigley; brothers and sisters Claud J. (Ann) Watters of Red Bud, Mary Hudson of Ellis Grove, Albert (Theresa) Watters of Fults, and Allen (Bonnie) Watters of Freeburg; and sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law, an aunt, nieces, nephews and cousins. He was preceded in death by his parents and granddaughter Miranda Quigley. Mr. Watters was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints and was a volunteer at the St. Louis LDS Temple. He was the owner of Watters Insurance Agency in Waterloo, H&R Block in Waterloo and Columbia, and the Painted Lady Bed & Breakfast in Waterloo. He was a former member of the Columbia Jaycees, Millstadt VFW and Waterloo Lions Club. Visitation was at Quernheim Funeral Home. A funeral service was held at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints in Waterloo, Presiding James McCann officiating. He is buried at Kolmer Memorial Cemetery in Waterloo. Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society or the Missionary Fund of LDS Church.
