Raymond Macarthur (Mickey) Rubemeyer New London May 27, 1942 March 2, 2001 LOUISIANA Raymond Macarthur (Mickey) Rubemeyer, 58, of New London and formerly of Louisiana, died Friday, March 2, 2001, at Hannibal Regional Hospital. Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday, March 6, at Collier Funeral Home in Louisiana. The Rev. Wallace Smashey will officiate. Burial will be at Salt River Christian Cemetery at New London. Visitation will be from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. today at the funeral home. Mr. Rubemeyer was born May 27, 1942, in Louisiana to William Theodore Rubemeyer Sr. and Ruby Mildred Lane Rubemeyer. He was married to Lynda Anderson. He was later married to Sharon Trower near Center. She preceded him in death Sept. 4, 1997. Survivors include five sons, Vince Rubemeyer and Bradly Rubemeyer, both of Bowling Green, Michael Rubemeyer of Centralia, Scott Rubemeyer of Troy and Donald Ray Rubemeyer of New London; one stepdaughter, Meredith Haley of Vandalia; his mother of Louisiana; five grandchildren; one brother, William Rubemeyer of Frankford; four sisters, Virginia Triplett and Cleo Ransdell, both of Louisiana, Frances Cole of Vandalia and Naomi Gottman of Hannibal; and a special friend, Tina. He was preceded in death by his father; and one infant sister, Willella Rubemeyer. Mr. Rubemeyer was a carpenter with Wendell Construction Co. in Bowling Green for several years. Later he owned and operated M & R Construction Co. in Marion, Ill. He was a Christian by faith. Memorials may be made to the Donnie Rubemeyer Educational Fund, in care of the funeral home.
